Scope of Work Contracting

Renacs Engineering Nigeria Limited, within its role as a project house, has the total capability to act as a civil, mechanical, building and electrical contractor, undertaking the complete design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of any project.

R.E.N. prides itself on its ability to adapt to meet the needs of the client. The key to this is liaison, co-ordination and co-operation. Upon receipt of a contract R.E.N. appoints one of its project managers to the project and wherever possible, he will remain in control of it, through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and take over. His prime role is to be the focal point through which contact is maintained with the client, the engineer or consultant, other contractors and sub-contractors, and the various sections of R.E.N., such as engineering and drawing office, procurement, planning, inspection, shipping and the site establishment.

Dependent on the size and complexity of the contract, R.E.N. will at the required time, appoint a site manager to control the construction, installation and commissioning at site. Specialist supervisors are brought in as and when required, for the installation of all equipment which needs specific skills, to ensure a successful installation and, similarly, for commissioning, where complex setting up is required before being brought into operation.

Electrical Works

Renacs Engineering Nigeria Limited has manpower with extensive experience in power generation, substation development, voltage transmission, and power distribution. This experience provides R.E.N. with the capability to handle any urban electrification, rural electrification and electrification of buildings.

Power Generation

The key to all electrification projects is the power source. R.E.N. can provide base load or standby power stations in diesel, mini hydro, wind power and solar power.

The provision of electricity to remote communities or smaller urban population is the key to development and industrialization, but more importantly it adds to the quality of life and leads to improvements in education and health.

As the cost of the supply of electricity by transmission to remote region is generally prohibitive, unless a suitable line passes in very close proximity to the area, the only practical proposition for the provision of power is by generation in the area itself.
