Nasarawa State is situated in the central part of Nigeria. The common language is Hausa.
Agriculture is the main industry of the people of Nasarawa State. Crops produced include cassava, yam, rice, maize, guinea corn, beans, soya beans, beniseed, asha, and millet.
In addition to farming, Nasarawa State is also rich in solid minerals. Mineral resources in Nasarawa State include barytes, salt mines, gypsum, marble, galleria, tin, gemstone, mica kaolin, columbite, clay, zircon, feldspars, cassiterite and limestone.
