Bomb attack in Abuja, Nigeria - European Parliament President Statement

The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek has condemned the bomb attack in Abuja, Nigeria which has killed many and destroyed a whole wing of a United Nations building.

European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek said:

"On behalf of the European Parliament, I send my condolences to the families and friend of those killed.

Attacking the United Nations is an attack on the whole international community. The United Nations is in Nigeria to assist the Nigerian people; it is therefore all the more shocking that this attack occurred. The European Parliament condemns this heinous act."
