Wyclef storms Calabar

Calabar, the capital of Cross River State is best known for it’s famous carnival and Cross River State in general is known for the major tourist attraction, Obudu Mountain Resort and the Tinapa Free Zone & Resort; Africa’s Premiere Business and Leisure Free Zone. This time Residents and visitors to Calabar were treated to a super star performance from Wyclef.

Wyclef shot to fame in the mid nineties as the lead singer/rapper with the group Fugees, their hit song ‘Ready or Not’ becoming a household tune and winning multiple awards. The Fugees 1996 album, ‘The Score’ was a multi-platinum and Grammy-winning success.

He was slated as one of the major attractions on December 28 at The Stadium in Calabar. He is also said to be one of the top five live performers in the world and performed to a sold out crowd of 50,000.

Wyclef Jean gave an outstanding live performance at the Carnival in Calabar, Nigeria where he performed The Fugee classics "Fugeela" and "Ready or Not" and other songs for the people of Nigeria.
