One of the remarkable experiences we've had over the years as regards the hospitality business is that aroma of knowledge that stems from knowing what exactly satisfies an appetite. For us the secret is not far fetched, we have been able to carve a veritable niche for ourselves.

Wakkis is a free standing purpose built restaurant that offers great and memorable dining experience. We are located in the heart of Abuja, the new Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

With carefully selected oriental dishes, seasoned chefs, and professional staff compliment each other in making a visit to Wakkis worth the while.

Brief history

We started this restaurant in the year 2000, originaly located opposite the famous Sheraton Hotel in Abuja. As at the time there was need to find a new location and so we opted for where we are presently. The magnificence of our building tells you of the great architechtural masterpiece we had in place. We didn't just want to design any kind of building, and so we went for 'art and culture' You'll understand what I mean when you pay us a visit some day.

Great personalities

Dignitaries that have graced our restaurant include the famous boxing promoter Don King, Andrew Young, and a host of others. Now this is excluding organisations like the United Nations, UNICEF, UNDP, WORLD BANK, US Embassy, British High Commission, British Council, Julius Berger, Setraco, MTN, Nicon Insurance, Peaugeot Automobile, PW LTD and also, majority of the foreign missions resident in Abuja. A visit to Abuja without coming to Wakkis is incomplete.
